Mindy started dancing at the age of 3. She is trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, gymnastics, and pointe. Her training has come from Bates Dance Studios, Kansas State University, The Edge Performing Arts Center (Los Angeles), Millennium Dance Complex (L.A.), Lou Conte Dance Studio of Chicago, Manhattan Gymnastics Center, and Broadway Dance Center (New York). She also enjoys traveling to dance conventions several times a year to continue to learn and grow as a dancer/instructor.

Mindy has toured for Dance Olympus as a VIP dancer and worked for Dance Olympus as an Art Stone Girl. Mindy danced professionally at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay from August 2005 to January 2006, performing in 5 shows a day. She was featured in "American Beat", "Christmas Celebration", and a Special Performance for the Boys & Girls Club.

Mindy has been teaching tap, jazz, ballet, and tumbling at Bates Dance Studios since 1998. She is also the director for Bates Pride Dancers and Bates Gems Dancers. She is a 2005 graduate of Kansas State University with a B.A. in Management and a minor in Spanish. Mindy is also the office manager for the studio.
